This week we remember that the Advent of peace is first and foremost the peace we now have with God because of Jesus Christ. In His coming, God fulfilled His promise to reconcile us to Himself, removing the separation caused by sin and giving us a deep, lasting peace that cannot be shaken. As we look to Christ, we celebrate the good news that through Him we are welcomed, forgiven, and made whole.
In week one of Advent, we look to hope—not a wish, but a confident trust in God’s unchanging promises. Zechariah’s prophecy in Luke 1:68–75 reminds us that God hears our prayers, keeps His word in sending the Messiah, and assures us of a future where Christ returns to make all things new.

In this message from 2 Samuel 9, we trace the story of Mephibosheth—an afraid, forgotten fugitive in Lo-debar—whom King David seeks out to show unexpected kindness for Jonathan’s sake. Through this powerful picture, we see how God pursues us in the “slums” of our sin and shame, not to execute judgment but to restore us, seat us at His table, and call us sons and daughters because of Jesus.
In Colossians 4:2–6, we’re invited to wake up the “muscle” of sharing our faith and to see prayer and mission as inseparable in the Christian life. This message explores how prayer fuels clarity, courage, and compassion as we walk wisely toward those who don’t yet know Jesus.
